Who we are
Indian Ocean island specialists, planning around you
African Island Safaris is a boutique trip designer for the Indian Ocean islands - Madagascar, Mauritius, Seychelles, Zanzibar and Réunion. We don't sell off-the-shelf packages; we shape each journey around your dates, your travel style and your budget.
Fewer, better journeys - designed by people who know these islands.
We started with a simple belief: the Indian Ocean's islands are some of the most rewarding places on earth to travel, and they deserve to be planned with real care rather than dropped into a generic booking engine.
Every itinerary is put together by a consultant who knows the lodges, the seasons and the logistics first-hand - where to be for the whale season, which reef to snorkel, how to connect the islands without wasting a day in transit.
You get an indicative quote up front with no obligation, then we refine the accommodation, activities, transfers and routing together until the trip feels right.
