It depends on your nationality and island. Seychelles and Mauritius are visa-free or visa-on-arrival for many passports; Madagascar issues a tourist visa on arrival (a small fee, usually around €35); Réunion follows French/Schengen rules; Zanzibar requires a Tanzania visa.
